Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), a US-based pro-Khalistan organization, has announced that it will be opening an embassy of the ‘Republic of Khalistan’ in the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Complex in Surrey city in British Columbia.

Recently, a board reading ‘Republic of Khalistan’ has been installed on this building, and it is to be noted that the funds for the construction of the building were provided by the Canadian government. Certain reports have claimed that the building was recently equipped with a lift worth USD 1.5 lakh.

Earlier, the building was used as a community center for the local Sikh community, and now it is an embassy for pro-Khalistan activity. Certain reports have claimed that this new construction could raise concerns for India, and the relationship between India and Canada might worsen the already tense relations between both countries.
