With the start of New Year 2026, new social media trend is now taking over the internet. Elon Musk-owned social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is seeing users joining the 'Hey Grok' trend. Even in India, various social media handlers including those with blue tick are trying the Hey Grok trend and giving various commands that may turning out to be hilarious and bizarre sometimes.

What is Hey Grok trend?

Users are sharing pictures on X and asking xAI i.e. Grok to deliver their commands. For this they are using the command- 'Hey Grok..'.

For example, a user shared a photo that had logos of Football Club Barcelona and Real Madrid. The user have the command, "Hey @grok, remove the corrupt club from the picture."

Guess what! Grok removed the picture of Football Club Barcelona.

Another user shared a picture of Donald Trump along with Israeli PM Netanyahu along with their partners and gave a command, "Hey @grok Remove the criminal leader from this photo."

In response, Grok removed US President Donald Trump's photo.

Another user who shared a picture of Viral Kohli re-tweeted it and wrote, "hey @grok make him look like a monster from stranger things."

Notably, Grok has landed in controversy in the past. When xAI first rolled out Grok’s image-generation features earlier this year, employees involved in training and moderation later revealed that they were repeatedly exposed to disturbing and sexually explicit material to train the AI.

Some xAI workers said they encountered NSFW content. Grok’s companion mode has also drawn criticism in recent months. The feature became controversial over concerns related to inappropriate, and potentially harmful content.
