Elon Musk Netflix subscription cancel reason
The Tesla CEO has canceled his Netflix subscription as a form of protest. The reason behind this is said to be the controversy caused by director Hamish Steele.
Recently, Hamish Steele was accused of mocking the death of a right-wing political party activist. Musk has now registered his protest by canceling his Netflix subscription.
Hamish Steele was a producer of the Netflix animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park. Following the controversy generated by his post, many people canceled their Netflix subscriptions and shared it on social media.
Now, Elon Musk has also canceled his Netflix subscription and posted it on the X platform (formerly Twitter). Musk reposted Matt Van Swoll's post, writing "Same." This means he has also canceled his Netflix subscription.
Controversy erupted after Hamish Steele posted a post comparing Charlie Kirk to a Nazi. Charlie Kirk was a leader of a right-wing party and was shot dead in public on September 10, 2025.
Kirk's funeral was attended by thousands of people, including the US President Donald Trump.
