The tragedy of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the four-day horror, is still fresh in the minds of the people. The attacks on multiple locations in Mumbai on 26 November, 2008 by terrorists was telecasted live on TV for the audiences at home to watch the debacle uninterrupted.
As all major news channels and reporters camped at various attacked landmarks to broadcast the happenings live while one reporter stood out for her detailed coverage which revealed intrinsic details about the action plan, positions and happening of the security forces to neutralise the terrorists.

Twitter is abuzz with video clipping of Barkha’s coverage of the tragedy with hashtags like #SnakesWithin and calling her out for her detailed coverage. This in-depth coverage by Barkha is believed to have hampered the actions of the Indian security forces and hence believed to offer a momentary advantage to the terrorists.
Meanwhile, people have taken to the microblogging site and are associating Barkha Dutt’s reporting during the Kargil war with that of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Many have called her a habitual offender saying she reveals every detail of what happened whenever any such dreadful attack takes place.
Similarly, during the Kargil wartime, Barkha was on-ground and at the front line with the soldiers, broadcasting a live and in-depth coverage of the happenings. This kind of coverage was believed to have given Pakistan an advantage over the Indian forces as it revealed the positions of the munitions and soldiers.

One user wrote, ``Why not pull up this alleged journalist, who revealed not only guest details but also police & NSG positions in real time along with operational details, under the garb of "journalism"?!?! She's a habitual offender. She pulled off a similar stunt during Kargil War as well.”
Meanwhile, users are accusing her of being a Pakistan agent in India who keeps disclosing the whereabouts of the Indian Army soldiers and the plans they are about to take, which leads to serious consequences. “She hinted and helped terrorists by live reporting during Kargil, 26/11… The first thing Modi govt should have done was to confiscate her journalism ... But since Modi is a fascist she is still a journalist.... doing barrel journalism though..,” another user wrote. While another Twitterati called her the most shameless journalist.
