Chhatrasal Stadium Murder case: Lookout notice issued against Olympian Wrestler Sushil Kumar

Following the murder of Sagar Dhankad, a 23-year-old international wrestler, in Chhatrasal Stadium, Delhi Police released a lookout notice for Olympian Sushil Kumar.

Sushil Kumar, a two-time Olympic medalist, was accused in the murder of a 23-year-old former junior national champion in North West Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium on Monday, prompting Delhi Police to issue a Look-out-Circular (LoC) against him.

During a brawl in the Stadium's parking lot, Sagar Dhankad was beaten to death. Kumar has been charged with murder, kidnapping, and criminal conspiracy.


Following the incident, Sushil travelled to Haridwar and then Rishikesh, according to reports. In Haridwar, he stayed at an ashram. He later returned to Delhi and is now relocating in Haryana. It has been observed that accused is continuously changing his locations after murder.

Sushil Kumar was allegedly present at the scene when the incident occurred, according to the victims. According to the victims' accounts, Sushil and his associates kidnapped Sagar from his Model Town home to teach him a lesson for badmouthing him in front of other wrestlers.

"Both the crime scene and all five vehicles were examined. During the inspection, one Scorpio was discovered with a double barrel loaded gun and five live rounds, as well as two wooden sticks.

"All five offensive vehicles and guns were captured. FSL forensic experts, Rohini, examined the crime scene further "Guriqbal Singh Sidhu, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest), said.
