With Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Main Bhi Chowkidar" campaign making headlines in last few days, the opposition has left no chance to take a dig on the BJP leaders adding 'Chowkidar' as a prefix in their Twitter handles. BJP leader Anil Vij on Tuesday returned back the jibes and digs to Congress saying if they didn't like 'Chowkidar' as a prefix, they should try using 'Pappu' as a prefix before their names.
BJP has been hitting out on Congress President Rahul Gandhi calling him 'Pappu' on various platforms.
"You have a problem with us (BJP leaders) for prefixing #Chowkidar before our names. You too prefix #Pappu before your names. We won't mind that." tweeted Anil Vij.
Before this, PM Modi had started the 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' campaign last week adding 'Chowkidar' as a prefix to his name on Twitter.
"My best wishes to all you chowkidars. Very pleased with your enthusiasm. Owing to your watchfulness corruption is on the wane and thieves are feeling the pain," PM Modi had tweeted.
On the other hand, Priyanka Gandhi on her boat campaign in Uttar Pradesh on Monday also took a dig at Modi saying, "Chowkidars are for rich, not farmers".
