Avnish Chhikara, 22,had to pay his B Tech fees by giving home tuitions and now he has got a job inAmazon for an annual package of Rs 67 lakh. He said that he wouldstudy 10 hours a day after returning from his engineering coaching. This wasalso the time he applied for an internship at Amazon for a monthly stipend ofRs 2.4 lakh.
Avnish said, "Therewere times when I had no money to pay my university fees, but I managedsomehow, partially by giving home tuitions."
He was offered a jobsoon after his internship was completed, and he claims that his pay is expectedto increase to Rs 1 crore in the coming year. He hopes to inspire and motivateother students through his hard work and dedication.
Prof Anayath, DCRUST the vice-chancellor was full of admiration for Avnish and added that he was happy that astudent from a low-income family had accomplished this milestone through hardwork. He also hoped Avnish's narrative would inspire other youngsters toachieve greater heights.
