In a major development, former NRL star Sam Burgess on Wednesday tested positive for a drug test when the cops pulled his car over at Kingsford for a random test. As per Australian media 7News report, the former Rugby player Sam Burgess was arrested by the cops and has been taken for the second round of tests. The second round report of Sam Burgess has been awaited therefore, the cops informed the Australian media that once the reports come they will further press charges against him. Furthermore, Sam Burgess' driving license has also been suspended after his first round of drug test came positive.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sam Burgess in February last year pleaded guilty to driving with cocaine in his system. Last year, Highway patrol pulled an unregistered car which Sam Burgess was driving. He was fined and put on a good behaviour track.

Police cleared former NRL star Sam Burgess following a year-long investigation into allegations of abuse levelled by his ex-wife and outlined in explosive media reports last year. High-profile lawyer Chris Murphy broke the news in a tweet, saying the star footballer had “no case to answer” in regards to the claims made by Phoebe Burgess.
“NSW Police Operational Legal Advice unit just recommended no criminal prosecution(s) be preferred against Sam Burgess in relation to these allegations. That now concludes this investigation,” Mr Murphy wrote.
