Happy Birthday Sunil Gavaskar.

Sunil Gavaskar turns 72 today. Sunil Gavaskar, popularly known as 'Little Master', is one of the legendary cricketers. When Team India was not considered strong, at that foreign bowlers used to fear from Sunil Gavaskar. Sunil Gavaskar, who made his international debut in the year 1971, achieved many milestones in his 16-year cricket career. Even today there are some such records in his name, which no one could break.

Sunil Gavaskar was born on 10 July 1949 in Mumbai. There is also an interesting story at the time of birth, knowing you will be stunned. It could have happened that today Sunil Gavaskar would have been a fisherman and not a cricketer.

When Sunil Gavaskar was born, his uncle Narayan Masurkar reached the hospital to see him. He noticed a mark on Sunil Gavaskar's ear, which was a 'birthmark'. When he reached the hospital again the next day, he picked up the child in his lap, but he was shocked.  Also Read: Superwoman: Harleen Deol caught a blinder at boundary line, fans comparing her to Ravindra Jadeja

The child that Narayan Masurkar picked in his lap had no 'birthmark' on his ear. Narayan told this to the hospital and then the search for little Sunil Gavaskar started. After lots of search done, little Sunil Gavaskar was found sleeping near a fisherman's wife.

Perhaps due to the mistake of the nurse, the children got exchanged, but the hospital corrected its mistake and the little Gavaskar was again handed over to his family. Sunil Gavaskar himself has mentioned this in his autobiography 'Sunny Days’.

Gavaskar has written in this autobiography that if Chacha Narayan Masurkar had not come that day, he would have been a fisherman today. Only his uncle's sharp eye saved his life and bring this change to his life. Due to this only India get a legendary batsman.
