The first Test is being played in Chennai between India and England. By the end of the first day's play, England scored 263 for 3 wickets. In the last over of the day, Jaspreet Bumrah LBW to Dominic Sibley. He scored 87 runs. Captain Joe Root returned to an unbeaten pavilion after scoring 128 runs. Root made his 20th century of Test career.

Root and Sibley shared a strong 200-run partnership for the third wicket to take England into a strong position. Sibley made his fourth fifty of the Test career. However, what won everyone's heart is when India's captain Virat Kohli came to the rescue of English captain Joe Root. 

Root playing for very long hours suffered a cramp and while playing a slog sweep shot on Ashwin's ball, Root fell down on the ground. Following that, Virat Kohli helped Root in stretching so that it could remove his cramp. Sunil Gavaskar while doing commentary said that Chennai has always been a place where players get a lot of cramps due to its weather. Chennai's weather drills a player's fitness said Gavaskar. 

On the other hand, BCCI shared the video of the incident and wrote, "#SpiritOfCricket at its very best"
