IND vs NZ Test 2, Day 1: Toss delayed due to wet outfields, next inspection at 10:30am

On Friday, due to wet outfields, the toss and start of the 2nd India vs New Zealand test has been delayed.

Second India vs New Zealand test match has not started yet due to the wet outfields. The toss has been delayed and the next field inspection will take place at 10:30 am IST. The second test match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. At present, the two-match test series stands level at 0-0. 



Before the start of the match, the BCCI has said that three players from the last game – skipper Ajinkya Rahane, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and pacer Ishant Sharma will not be the part of the Mumbai Test as they are out with injury. Virat Kohli, who was on break during the first test match, will lead the team during the second and the final test.

And from the opponent team, captain Kane Williamson will not be part of the team due to the left-elbow injury, according to the New Zealand team management. The management took Twitter to share the team news, the tweet read, “Team News | BLACKCAPS captain Kane Williamson will miss the second and final Test against India in Mumbai as he continues to battle the left-elbow injury which has troubled him for much of 2021.”



For now, the most talked-about subject is the Mumbai rains. It has been raining in Mumbai for the last two days and teams were forced to train indoors on Thursday.
