Indian ARMY doesn't need need permission to celebrate the members of the popular K-Pop boyband's birthdays. Jeon Jungkook, the youngest member, or ‘maknae' in Korean, celebrates his birthday on September 1. When the birthday of the youngest member, who is also known as the "golden maknae" for being the all-rounder and sometimes even the "ace" in his boyband, arrives, fans prepare for a big celebration.
Jungkook turns 24 today. Indian fans, like the rest of the fanbase worldwide, did not want to be left behind. In India, the BTS Army has gone all out to make the singer's birthday more memorable. Billboards devoted to the artist are one of the numerous things they're putting together in Mumbai. Indian ARMY and a fan of Jungkook uploaded photographs of a bus stop in Mumbai with posters of Jungkook on them as part of the "Jungkook birthday project" on Twitter, which is one of the social media sites ARMYs and other fangroups use to interact or share news about their biases and stans.
The Indian ARMY isn't only doing that. As part of the ‘Jungkook Birthday Project,' Indian BTS supporters have opted to fund abandoned dogs in India.
