IPL 2021: SRH fast bowler T Natarajan eliminated from the remaining season due to knee injury

Earlier, due to a shoulder injury, Natarajan was not fixed to play the early stages of the five-match T20I series between India and England.

In what comes as sudden and disheartening news for SunRisers Hyderabad, fast bowler T Natarajan has been eliminated from the remaining season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 due to a persistent knee injury. However, his knee injury has again emerged and disrupted his play. 

Notably, Natarajan had not played the last two games of the 2016 champions and was replaced by another left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed. 

SRH David Warner after a 9-wicket win over Punjab Kings on Wednesday has given the Natarajan's health update and said, "He obviously has a sore knee. Owing to present circumstances in these bubbles, if he goes and gets a scan, he would have to sit out for seven days and to come back would have to quarantine, so we are just monitoring the issue at the moment."

"The physios are doing their best to analyze but he obviously has to have a scan at some point," Warner added. 

Earlier, due to a shoulder injury, Natarajan was not fixed to play the early stages of the five-match T20I series between India and England. However, he had just played the final against England.
