The third Test at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad going on is also the 100th Test of the career of Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma. Ishant is the second Indian pacer to do so. Before him, former fast bowler Kapil Dev played 131 Tests. Ishant said that he wants Team India to reach and win the final of the World Test Championship (WTC). Ishant said it would be like winning the ODI World Cup for him. He said this during the virtual press conference.

Ishant Sharma, playing his 100th Test for India, was presented a special cap by Home Minister Amit Shah and a memento by President Ram Nath Kovind ahead of the third Test against England at the newly renamed Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

When the match started, in no time, Ishant made his presence felt and celebrated his 100th test with the wicket of Dom Sibley. 

BCCI shared the video and wrote, ".@ImIshant was felicitated by the Honourable President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind & Honourable Home Minister of India Shri Amit Shah before the start of play here in Ahmedabad."
