Jalandhar weather update: Light rain, thunderstorms, and humidity expected between June 18-25

Following the scorching heat and intense heatwave, it is predicted that Jalandhar will witness certain rainy and humid days, bringing the temperature a bit down. As per the reports, the mercury will range between 32°C and 37°C for the next several days of the week. 

According to the forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) the rainfall activity and showers will increase from Wednesday, June 18, 2025 and will be extended to next Wednesday, June 25, 2025. 

During Tuesday night, the temperature will remain low at 27°C with partial clouded sky with light rain, with a very low predictability. 

It is to be noted that such a trend will continue for the next week, which will witness the daytime temperature between mid-30s and the night temperature will range between 26°C and 29°C, along with humidity. 

Rainfall prediction for the upcoming week - 

Wednesday, June 18 - 

The temperature will range between 35°C and 26°C, with around 30 percent changes of rain. 

Thursday, June 19 - 

The temperature will be between 36°C and 27°C, with rain predictability around 35 percent - with slight chances of  thunderstorm. 

Friday, June 20 - 

The maximum and minimum temperature will remain between 36°C and 27°C, respectively. The chances of rain will increase to 40 percent. 

Saturday, June 21 - 

The chances of rain, along with thunderstorms, will increase to 50 percent with temperature ranging between 36°C and 28°C. 

It is to be noted the rainfall prediction will continue to increase to 65 percent during the upcoming days. According to the reports by the Meteorological Department, Monsoon moisture is gradually moving into the region, which could bring thunderstorms and scattered downpours, especially during afternoon and evening hours. With humidity levels set to rise, the overall weather may feel warmer than the actual temperature suggests.


What to watch-out for? 

The sudden rain showers might result in waterlogging in the low-lying areas. 
The increased humidity will cause discomfort and fatigue, causing health issues. 
The people must make sure to gather the information regarding the rainfall prediction and carry umbrellas and raincoats, accordingly.
