On Friday, Intelligence agencies, which are dealing with the Ludhiana Court Blast, revealed that they have strong inputs regarding the involvement of Pakistan’s ISI-backed terrorist group – Khalistan in the planning and executing the blast, which killed two innocents and injured many.

One of the investigating officers said that the agencies were on their toes after the Red Fort attack as they believed that terrorist group will revive their plan. He further said that many such plans were foiled with the joint operation with Punjab Police.

He also informed that the person based in Pakistan was giving instructions to the on-ground person to execute the blast.

“We got specific inputs regarding locals gangs have been hired and radicalized to revive Khalistan movement that was backed by Pakistan’s ISI. We shared these inputs with local police and an operation to conduct across the state to prepare a list of criminals out on bail or absconding. The recoveries made in the last few months were just tip of an iceberg,” the officer was quoted saying.

The Primary investigation reveals that it might be a human bomb and the deceased whose body was found in the Court’s washroom was the prime suspect of the blast.

According to the sources, a tattoo of Khanda (emblem of Sikhism) was made on the body of the person killed in this blast. In such a situation, it is believed that the person killed could be a resident of Punjab. Efforts are being made to identify him with the help of the tattoo.

There are reports that it was a tiffin box bomb blast. In the past five years, Punjab Police has recovered around seven tiffin bombs and more than ten hand grenades from the bordering towns.

Punjab Police officials will interrogate daily commuters in the Ludhiana court on Friday. Their list has been prepared. Two women working on the photostat machine, installed on the third floor of the court complex, were injured in the blast and are admitted to the Ludhiana Civil Hospital. The police may interrogate them as well.
