The third Test between India and England is being played in Motera, which has become the world's largest cricket stadium. Winning the toss in this day-night Test, England were bowled out for 112 in the first innings. Spinner Axar Patel, playing the second Test of the career, took 6 wickets. Apart from these, Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets.

For the first time, an international match is being played in this newly built stadium with a capacity of 1.32 lakh spectators. In the first innings, 7 batsmen could not touch the figure of ten for England. These included Johnny Bairstow and opener Dom Sibley out on zero. Playing for the first time in India, Jack Crawley scored the highest score of 53 runs.

However, England could not survive for long and they were all out at 112 runs. Following this, former England captain Michael Vaughan lashed out at England cricket team. Vaughan even went on to say that England does not have enough skilled players to play on the spinning tracks.

Vaughan wrote, "It’s the non spinning deliveries that England haven’t been able to play ... Scars from the 2nd Test me thinks ... England just don’t have enough skilled players in these conditions ..."

Seeing England playing with only one specialist spinner Jack Leach, Vaughan wrote, "England have treated selection for this series like premier league teams treat the early stages of the FA Cup rounds ... #INDvENG Against the best team in the world !!!!!!!"
