Earlier Sanjay Gupta tweeted, “Shah Rukh Khan has and continues to give jobs and livelihoods to thousands in the film industry. He has always stood up for every cause for the film industry. And the astute silence of the same film industry in his moment of crisis is nothing short of SHAMEFUL.”

Meanwhile, former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi will appear in the Bombay High Court today for Aryan Khan's bail application in the Mumbai cruise narcotics case. He will personally appear in court and plead the case. "I shall appear in Bombay High Court today for Aryan Khan in his bail issue," Rohatgi added.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained Aryan Khan, his companion Arbaaz Merchant (26) and fashion model Munmun Dhamecha (28) on October 3, 2021.  The three are currently being held in judicial custody. Dhamecha is being held at the Byculla women's prison, while Aryan Khan and Merchant are being held at the Arthur Road prison in central Mumbai.

They were denied bail by a special court that hears crimes involving the Narcotics, Drugs, and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), citing the fact that "they were part of the conspiracy."
