R Ashwin hits his fifth century on turning Chepauk pitch, surpasses Jacques Kallis- Shakib-Al-Hasan's record

The second match of the Test series between India and England is being played in Chennai. On the third day, Team India scored 286 runs in the second innings. India took a lead of 481 runs over England. Right now, Ravichandran Ashwin landed to bat at number 8, scoring 5th Test century.  Team India captain Kohli scored 62 runs off 149 balls. He was LBWed by Moeen Ali. Kohli partnered 96 runs off 177 balls for the 7th wicket with Ashwin.

However, it was Ashwin whose outstanding batting won everyone's heart. With his fifth hundred, Ashwin became the second Tamil Nadu player to score a Test century at Chepauk after Kris Srikkanth, who hit 123 against Pakistan in 1986/87. Also, first 100 for him against a team other than West Indies. 

Not only this, Ashwin also surpassed Gary Sobers, Mushtaq Mohammad, Jacques Kallis and Shakib-Al-Hasan in terms of 'Hundred and five-wkt haul in a Test match'.
