Raj Kundra PORN Case: Rent bungalow for Rs 20K a day to shoot PORN films, struggling actors were targeted and threatened

It has been revealed in the investigation that by targeting 20-25 year old struggling actress, Raj Kundra’s team force them to work in films by blackmailing them in the name of contracts they signed with the production house.

Many major disclosures have been revealed following the arrest of Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty. The Crime Branch team conducted a 5-month investigation before detaining Kundra, according to the inquiry. Raj Kundra's name came up while the Crime Branch team was seeking for clues regarding a gang making pornographic videos.


It has been revealed in the investigation that by targeting 20-25 year old struggling actress, Raj Kundra’s team force them to work in films by blackmailing them in the name of contracts they signed with the production house. A case was registered against Kundra on 4 February 2021 itself. However, the police had no evidence against Kundra other than a statement, so he was not apprehended then.

Raj Kundra Arrested after solid evidence


The five people arrested at the Madh Island villa three days ago were allegedly promising jobs in web series to aspiring actresses travelling to Mumbai from places like Beed in rural Maharashtra or regions like Jharkhand, according to the police. The accused would inform the women on the day of the filming that the script had been changed. They allegedly demanded that they undress and film intimate scenes.

Police said that if the women refused, they would be charged with a bill for setting up the shooting. According to the police, most of these ladies would succumb to the pressure because they came from low-income families and humble backgrounds.

During the investigation, the crime department discovered that these adult films were usually shot in a day at a leased home on the outskirts of Mumbai, such as Madh Island. A minimum of five to six individuals would be hired, who would operate as directors, dialogue writers, location scouts, and web app developers.Kundra was accused of making obscene films and broadcasting and sharing them through certain apps.

So far 5 FIRs have been registered against Raj Kundra


After investigation of this case, the name of Raj Kundra's company Umesh Kamat came to the fore.On February 4 this year, the Crime Branch had registered the first case related to a porn film. After that, two cases were registered by Maharashtra Cyber Police, one in Lonavala and two at Malvani police station.In this case the Crime Branch team had registered CR- 103/2021. In which IPC sections 292 (transmission of pornographic literature), 293 (transmission of pornography to persons below the age of 20 years), 34 (criminal act done with common intention) and section 67 (publication of objectionable information), 67A of the IT Act. (publishing sex or obscene information by electronic means) and IPC section 420 (cheating or dishonest).

Shilpa Shetty’s role probe


Joint Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe said that Viaan company did not have any active role of Shilpa Shetty, but we are still investigating her role.Account sheets, WhatsApp chats and pornography clips have been found from Kundra's office. Some more people are also to be arrested in this case.

Struggling actors of 20 to 25 years were targeted
During the investigation of 5 months, it was revealed that the mastermind of the pornographic film racket is Raj Kundra. After Kundra’s arrest, it emerged that he used to run a big porn film racket under the guise of a production house meant for film production. Most of the young girls and boys working in his films were struggling actresses and actors. The production house used to choose artists of 20 to 25 years. Before the shooting, he used to sign the contract, in which there was a clause to file a case for leaving the film on actors own volition. According to the police, he used to give 30 to 50 thousand rupees for a day to an artist.

Bungalow was rented for 20 thousand rupees


Investigation has revealed that the bungalow in Madh Island , which was raided by the Mumbai Police, was rented out by Raj Kundra’s team for Rs 20,000 per day. The owner has told the police that the bungalow was hired from him in the name of shooting Bhojpuri and Marathi films. The owner of the bungalow and other staff were asked to stay away during the shoot. Before the shooting started, the bungalow was covered with blue screen from all sides. The set was built inside the bungalow.

Asked to take off clothes during audition
According to sources, in a statement to the Mumbai Police, a struggling model told that most of the girls involved in the films were from outside Mumbai. Everyone’s profile was shot before the selection and many times they were asked to undress in front of the camera. This profile was sent to a selection team. After being selected, the actress was called for shoots at different places. However, most of the female cameramen and female producers remained on the sets. Initially, normal shoots were done for a few days and then pressure was made for bold scenes.

Girls were blackmailed under contracts signed
A model told that on refusing shooting the bold scenes, they were threatened of sending to jail, as per the clause in the contract. There was a clause in the contract to cover the entire loss of the shoot if the shoot was left in the middle. A model told the police that in her clause there was a provision of paying 10 lakh rupees for not following the rules during the shooting. A model has said in a statement to the police that she was first threatened, when she protested against the shooting, then she was forced to shoot the film by drinking alcoholic cold drink. The model only came to know after a month that her pornographic film had been made.

The video was sent to different apps
The actress told that her obscene video was uploaded on an app named ‘Hit and Hot’. In this, after taking a subscription of 200 rupees, the video was available to watch. The actress then lodged a police complaint and investigation started in the matter. In her complaint, the actress also told that many of her videos have also been circulated on Telegram. Troubled by all these things, the actress has left Mumbai.
