India's new age speedster Mohammed Siraj seems to be doing everything on or off-field which is winning people's hearts. Whether from the ball, or from his attitude on the field, Siraj continues to impress everyone around the world. From opting to stay in Australia and not going to his father's funeral to jumping in joy on Ashwin's century against England, people and cricket pundits continue to praise Siraj.
Why Siraj Is Getting Praise?
In the second innings of India on the third day, Ravichandran Ashwin hit the 5th century of his Test career. Apart from Ashwin's century what has won everyone's heart is Mohammed Siraj's celebration when the off-spinner struck his century. Siraj was on the other end, when off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was on the cusp of getting his 5th Test century. The moment Ashwin hit the ball over the slips and towards the boundary, Siraj, while running punched the air in delight several times and smiled so wide that it looked like he had got the century.
Now, India's cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar has hailed Siraj for this attitude. Tendulkar took to Twitter and wrote, ".@mdsirajofficial's reaction to @ashwinravi99 getting to his century was very interesting & I thoroughly enjoyed that. This is what Team Sport is all about.... enjoying and being a part of your teammates’ success. Proud of you Siraj & #TeamIndia!"
