Shilpa Shetty's comeback after 14 years: Hungama-2 on July 23, same day with Raj Kundra’s remand extension

Actress Shilpa Shetty is returning to films after 14 years with 'Hungama 2'. The film is going to release on Hotstar on 23rd July. It should have been a time of celebration for Shilpa and her fans, but due to the arrest of Raj Kundra in a porn racket, not only Shilpa but probably the entire team of Hungama-2 will not be in a festive mood anymore. Shilpa is making a comeback with a comedy film but at the same time tragedy has happened in her personal life.

Raj Kundra has been sent on police remand till July 23. That means, the OTT premiere of Hungama 2 will take place on July 23, the same day it will also be decided whether Raj's police remand will be extended or he will be sent to judicial custody.

Shilpa's last film came in 2007

Shilpa Shetty appeared on the silver screen in 2007 in the films 'Life in Metro' and 'Apne'. After these films, she appeared in the party song of 'Om Shanti Om'. Later she also appeared in a song in 'Dostana'. Shilpa made the film 'Dishkiyaoon' as a producer. She had a special appearance in this too.

Comeback film for priyadarshan too
Now after 14 years, she is going to be seen in Priyadarshan's Hungama 2. The hit song 'Chura Ke Dil Mera' from the early days of Shilpa's career has also been recreated in this film. In the film, she will be seen dancing to this song with Meezaan Jaffrey.

Apart from these, the film also stars Pranitha Subhash and Paresh Rawal. This is also director Priyadarshan's comeback film in Bollywood. Priyadarshan's earlier Bollywood film 'Rangrez' came in 2013.

No regret to comeback on OTT
Shilpa was very excited for this film. Shilpa had told that she has no regrets about her comeback film not being released on the silver screen. She was not nervous about this. On the contrary, she believes that content is the most important on OTT and this comedy film will be able to see by more people due to OTT release.

Shilpa has a good following on social media. She has 2.14 crore followers on Instagram. The advantage of all this following could also have been taken in the promotion of Hungama 2.
