Amitabh Bachchan, the megastar of Bollywood, turned 79 today, and he did so in style. With the comment "walking into the 80s," the actor celebrated his birthday on Instagram. However, the Bollywood's 'Shehanshah' got his age wrong on his birthday post, and his daughter Shweta Bachchan corrected him in the comments section. Shweta Bachchan commented on his post with the small sentence “79th ♥️  ." 

Aside from Shweta, many others, including his granddaughter Navya, wished the megastar a happy birthday in the comments section.
"Gangster," tweeted star Ranveer Singh, while actress Bhumi Pednekar wrote, "swag.. , happy birthday sir."

Big B's birthday celebrations began a day before he turned 79, when he cut a cake with his 'Chehre' producer Anand Pandit.

“For each year that I have spent watching you on the Big Screen to each year that I have spent personally meeting you and working with you, each moment with you is remarkably inspiring! I am so glad that you visited us at our project and that we could begin the celebrations one day before. Amit ji, you truly are an inspiration and once again wishing you a very very Happy Birthday! @amitabhbachchan.”  The filmmaker shared the moment on social media and wrote for Big B.

He was most recently seen in Rumi Jaffery's film Chehre. He has appeared in the films 102 Not Out and Gulaabo Sitaabo. Following that, he has a few projects lined up, including Brahmastra, Goodbye, and a remake of The Intern.
