Sourav Ganguly hails PM Modi, HM Amit Shah for the world's largest stadium in Motera, says 'pink test was our dream'

Ganguly also revealed that he will not be able to attend the inauguration ceremony and will not be present on the first day of the day-night Test.

Cricket fans will be able to enjoy the match at Motera, the world's largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad, after a long time. Starting today, the third Test match between India and England will begin. President Ramnath Kovind inaugurated this newly constructed stadium. He was accompanied by Home Minister Amit Shah.

Earlier Vice President of Gujarat Cricket Association Parimal Nathwani had said that this is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi wanted to renovate the old stadium and make it state-of-the-art and the largest stadium in the world.

Now, BCCI President and former India's captain Sourav Ganguly has hailed PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. However, Ganguly also revealed that he will not be able to attend the inauguration ceremony and will not be present on the first day of the day-night Test. 

Ganguly took to Twitter and wrote, "Will miss being at the stadium today ..what an effort it must have been to create this ..pink test was our dream and it's going be the 2nd one in india.hope to see full stands like last time. Under the leadership of Honble Prime minister @narendramodi Amit Shah @AmitShah."
