Courtesy of a fighting knock from Ireland skipper Andrew Balbirnie and early jolt gave by bowler Joshua Little, Ireland was declared as the ultimate winner in the rain-affected match. England was 105-5 when heavy rain started to pour in and ultimately the umpires decided to declare Ireland as the winner as England was 5 runs behind as per the DL method. Andrew Balbirnie's innings of 62 runs off 47 balls earned him man of the match award in the end.
