What happened to IPL Auctioneer Hugh Edmeades midway mega-auction? Here is his health update

The IPL 2022 mega auction was going into full flow when auctioneer Hugh Edmeades suddenly collapsed while conducting the bidding war between the franchises.

The much anticipated IPL 2022 mega auction kickstarted on February 12 in Bengaluru with 10 franchises participating in the bidding war hosted by famous auctioneer Hugh Edmeades. The IPL 2022 mega auction was going into full flow when auctioneer Hugh Edmeades suddenly collapsed while conducting the bidding war between the franchises. 

The shocking incident took place when a bidding war was taking place on Sri Lankan allrounder Wanindu Hasaranga between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings. While the bidding was underway IPL auctioneer Hugh Edmeades suddenly collapsed from the stage and fell down on the floor. Following that everyone sitting inside the auditorium went into shock including Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan. In fact, Shahrukh Khan's son Aryan Khan ran towards IPL auctioneer Hugh Edmeades to see what actually happened to him. 

Following this, the IPL 2022 mega auction was interrupted and an early lunch was taken. Notably, a medical team was called in to have a checkup on Hugh Edmeades.

Soon, the IPL Governing Council issued a statement on Hugh Edmeades's health update. As per the IPL Governing Council, Hugh Edmeades collapsed due to Postural Hypotension. Furthermore,  the medical team attended to Hugh Edmeades immediately after the incident and he is stable now. It was also announced that broadcaster and commentator Charu Sharma will continue IPL 2022 mega auction in place of Hugh Edmeades. 

It is pertinent to mention here that Sri Lankan allrounder Sri Lankan allrounder Wanindu Hasaranga was sold at INR 10.75 crore to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
