

Jalandhar's Adarsh Nagar witnessed a shocking case of hooliganism recently. Around 15-20 bike borne youths came on their bike and assaulted a fruit seller. Not only this, the youths also vandalised the fruit seller's cart in Adarsh Nagar Chowpatty, Jalandhar.
Now, in a major update in Jalandhar Adarsh Nagar Chowpatty case, two youths have been arrested. Continue reading below to know the details-
The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has successfully arrested two individuals involved in the assault incident that took place at Adarsh Nagar Chowpatty.
Giving details, Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur informed that FIR No. 137 dated 14.11.2025 under Sections 109(2), 324(4), 191(3), 190, 351(3) BNS was registered at Police Station Division No. 2.
Complainant Ram Barmiyan, a resident of Village Sanchari, District Champaran, Bihar (presently residing in Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar), stated that he sells fruits on a cart outside his house. On November 13, while serving a customer, a group of youths armed with weapons arrived and attacked him.
Following the incident, under the guidance of Akarshi Jain (ADCP-1) and Amandeep Singh (ACP Central) Jalandhar, a police team led by SI Jaswinder Singh, SHO, Police Station Division No. 2, carried out swift action.
With the help of CCTV footage, human intelligence, and technical inputs, the accused were identified, and two individuals were arrested.
The arrested individuals are Surinder Singh a resident of New Shastri Nagar, Gautam, resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Basti Guzza, Jalandhar
Accused Gautam also has a previous criminal case registered against him at Police Station Division No. 2.
Raids are ongoing to arrest the remaining accused.
