

Days after private schools of Amritsar received bomb threat, multiple schools of Jalandhar have received similar threat. As per initial information, schools of Jalandhar that have received bomb threat are- Ivy World School in Rama Mandi, St. Joseph's Convent School situated in Cantt Road, Jalandhar, Apeejay School, DPS, and KMV.
As per information received, three schools have been evacuated- KMV, Ivy School and St. Joseph. The update of the remaining two schools is currently unknown.
Furthermore, threat to blow up railway tracks has also been received. Initial information suggests that the threat has been issued allegedly by a Khalistani terror outfit.
A parent of student studying at St. Joseph's Convent School received a message that reads, "Dear Parents, This is to inform you that the school has announced a half day today, 15 December. The dispersal time for all students will be 11:55 a.m.
Please do not pay attention to any rumours. The school premises have been thoroughly inspected by the concerned authorities, and no threat or danger has been detected. As a precautionary measure, we are sending the children home early. There is absolutely no need to panic. All school buses and vans will operate as usual. Parents who pick up their children personally may come comfortably at the scheduled time."
As per sources, anti-sabotage teams are reaching to the schools and college to carry out searches.
More schools of Jalandhar are also suspected to have received bomb threat.
It is pertinent to mention here that on December 12 (Friday) at least 15 private schools of Amritsar received bomb threat. Following this, DC declared school holiday for the day in the district and students were sent home.
On the other hand, Amritsar Police and bomb squad carried out intense searches but could not find anything. Finally. Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar then revealed that threat email received by schools turned out to be false. Bhullar also stated that Amritsar Police are now taking local Cyber Police, Punjab's Cyber Cell, Central Agencies' help to crack the case.
