Ind Vs England Day 3: India 351 runs ahead, Kohli-Ashwin stabilize India on turning track

Team India started the third day by playing 54 runs for one wicket in the second innings

The second match of the Test series between India and England is being played in Chennai. On the third day, Team India scored 156 runs after losing 6 wickets in the second innings when all the players went for lunch. The team has so far taken a lead of 351 runs over England. Right now, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin are at the crease. Ashwin got a life on the fourth ball of the 45th over. Ben Stokes missed an easy catch at slip off Stuart Broad. Then he was playing  at28 runs.

Team India started the third day by playing 54 runs for one wicket in the second innings. After this, the team lost 3 more wickets in scoring just 11 runs. Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Rishabh Pant returned to the pavilion early. Shubman Gill (14) succumbed to leach on the second day itself.

Pujara (7) was run out. After this, Rohit too could not stay long and returned to the pavilion after scoring 26 runs. He was stumped by wicketkeeper Ben Foax at the ball of Jack Leach.

Till the lunch, it can be said that a  session of two halves with England chipping away in the first hour and then India fighting back through Virat and Ashwin, who put on a masterclass helping the hosts edge ahead as their lead has swelled to 351.
