The countdown for the ICC Cricket World Cup has begun and fans are going frenzy over the 'mother of all clashes' India vs Pakistan. After so much speculation over venue & date change, Ahmedabad will host India vs Pakistan 2023 World Cup match in a jam-packed Narendra Modi Stadium. India vs Pakistan CWC 2023 match will take place on October 14 and the 'Men In Blue' will look to continue their domination over Babar Azam & Co. Notably, India plays against Pakistan only in the ICC tournaments and the Asia Cup. Notably, India vs Pakistan WC 2023 match was slated to take place on October 15, however, due to the Navratri celebration in the state of Gujarat, the epic encounter's date was shifted a day before. With the build-up around India vs Pakistan is so high, airfares to Ahmedabad and hotel room have spiked exponentially.

As per a report, the prices of hotel rooms have gone up by 15 times. So, a room that was costing Rs 4000, will now charge Rs 60,000 and there is still no guarantee you will get it. ANother reports suggest that despite there is still a major time left for the India-Pakistan World Cup 2023 clash, the advance booking in premium hotels in Ahmedabad is almost complete. The report suggested that the per-night tariff in a 3 and 5-star hotel has gone up to INR 20,000 to 2.5 lakh. Similarly, the presidential suites are being booked at a cost of INR 1 lakh to 2.5 lakh per night. Interestingly, the BCCI is yet to open the ticket sale of India vs Pakistan match.

Therefore, the Hotel Association of Ahmedabad reportedly believes that once the match tickets go on sale, all kinds of accommodations within 100 km of the city will be fully booked. The prices have already spiked and are expected to jump even more during the event.

Apart from hotels, the President of Gujarat Hotel and Restaurant Association was quoted informing that airfares to Ahmedabad have also skyrocketed. “Not just hotels, but even air travel has become expensive during the World Cup match days. The flight tickets to Ahmedabad from Delhi and Mumbai have already reached INR 10 to 25 thousand per person. The usual fare ranges between Rs 2.5 to 5 thousand which has now gone up by 5 times because of the India vs Pakistan game," informed the President of Gujarat Hotel and Restaurant Association as reported.

3 September: India matches at Ahmedabad
