IPL 2021: SRH to chase 150 run-target to win the match over RCB

SRH has confined RCB to 149 runs with 8 wickets down in 20 overs.

Today's match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is being played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. The toss of the match was won by SRH, who opted to bowl against RCB. 

SRH has confined RCB to 149 runs with 8 wickets down in 20 overs. 

Under the 10 overs, RCB lost significant two wickets of Devdutt Padikkal and Shahbaz Nadeem, nevertheless, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell get the game going and shared the partnership of 29 and 26 respectively. Though, Virat Kohli remained unable to keep up the spirits as his shot was caught by SRH Vijay Shankar. 

The only hope of RCB- AB de Villiers, who came in quick succession to Virat Kohli, had to depart for a mere 1 run after his shot was caught by David Warner on the ball of Rashid Khan.

Defending the score for SRH, Rashid Khan took another wicket of Washington Sundar who just made 8 runs on 11 deliveries. When Dan Christian came to try his fortune with Glenn Maxwell for RCB, he gave his wicket as a first to Natrajan at the end of the 16th over. 

Stressed with setbacks, RCB revived the game as Glenn Maxwell and Kyle Jamieson stole 14 runs in the over of Bhuvneshwar Kumar by smashing 3 boundaries. 

 At the beginning of the 19th over, Jamieson's shot was caught by Manish Pandey on the throw of Jason Holder and he had to resist with 12 runs on 9 balls. 

Notably, RCB's match ended with a wicket of Glenn Maxwell, who made a half-century in the sixth match of IPL today.
