Prior to IPL 2021, Punjab franchise Kings XI Punjab has changed the name and logo of the team, taking a big decision. Now Kings XI Punjab team will be known as 'Punjab Kings' team from the upcoming season. Last season the Punjab team finish at number six. The team of Kings XI Punjab is among those teams which have not won the IPL title even once. Now the Punjab franchise will enter the 14th season with the name of the Punjab Kings team.
Kings XI Punjab CEO Satish Menon spoke at length about the unveiling of the new logo of the Punjab-based franchise on Wednesday. "Punjab Kings is a more evolved brand name, and we understand it was a right time for us to move focus on the core brand itself," Menon said.

"The change in brand identity is not about changing our brand ethos but celebrating our one-ness as we stand in unit like a family. The new logo honors the liveliness and vibrancy of the brand and provides modern elements, while we stand out from rest of the teams," he added.
