There is a huge buzz on social media over the newly built world's largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad. India is all set to take on England at the Motera stadium which has been renamed as 'Narendra Modi Stadium'. Starting today, the third Test match between India and England will begin. President Ramnath Kovind inaugurated this newly constructed stadium. He was accompanied by Home Minister Amit Shah. This stadium will now be known as Narendra Modi Stadium.

The stadium, built at a cost of about 700 crore rupees, also has an Olympic size swimming pool. The stadium has 4 dressing rooms. The entire stadium complex is on 63 acres. Apart from this there are separate courts for boxing, badminton, tennis. Not only this, hockey and football fields are also in this campus. We usually see in the cricket stadium that the spectators always like to sit in the front line, because the match can be watched without any hindrance. At the same time, the specialty of Motera Stadium is that there is not a single pillar or any other bottleneck in the middle of the stadium. This means that the match can be enjoyed by sitting in any stand.

However, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan has mocked the BCCI over the world's largest stadium and even said that it is almost as good as Headingley. Vaughan replied on a tweet of BCCI and wrote, "Almost as good as Headingley !!!!"

This statement by Vaughan yet again earned him a lot of flak on social media.

Another user wrote, "6 times the capacity"

"Brits are always in jelous..Always in a state to compare everything.." added another user.
