World's largest stadium in Motera will be called 'Narendra Modi Stadium', Ahmedabad to be known as 'sports city' of India

Cricket fans will be able to enjoy the match at Motera, the world's largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad, after a long time. Starting today, the third Test match between India and England will begin. President Ramnath Kovind inaugurated this newly constructed stadium. He was accompanied by Home Minister Amit Shah. This stadium will now be known as Narendra Modi Stadium.

During the inauguration ceremony, Amit Shah said, "Coupled with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave and Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, a sports complex will also be built in Naranpura. These 3 will be equipped to host any international sports event. Ahmedabad to be known as the 'sports city' of India."

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that the world's largest sports complex Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Complex will also be built next to Motera Stadium at a cost of Rs 251 crore. Along with cricket, the other big sports in the world will also be included in this complex. It will include all indoor games including football, hockey. This complex will have a capacity of 10 to 12 thousand. There will also be a swimming pool. There will be a stay for students in this. PM Modi made Gujarat the growth engine of the country. The arrangements made to encourage the youth will be encouraged by the sports complex.

"Not just for cricket but it's a proud moment for India. Besides being the largest cricket stadium, it's also one of the most modern stadiums in the world. Ahmedabad is turning out to be the 'sports city' of the country," said Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju.
