Mohammed Siraj responds to Eng trolls with ‘1-0’ gesture on Day1 of 3rd IndvsEng Test match

During Day 1 of England vs India 3rd test match, Indian player Mohammed Siraj faced trolls when he was stationed on the boundary line. Now, his response is viral on the internet.

On Wednesday 3rd England vs India test match started at Headingley. Indian skipper won the toss and elected to bat first but India had a tough day as the whole team was back into the pavilion after putting 78 runs on the board. 

England openers then put up the show and scored 120/0. At the end of Day 1, the England team was leading by 42 runs. During England’s innings, some of the English supporters mocked Mohammed Siraj, one of the finest performers in the second test match, and asked score. At that time, he did not bog down but answered them in style. He responded to the crowd with the gesture of “1-0”. After the day’s play, the clip went viral on the internet.

Reportedly, on the same day, some of England's supporters threw a ball at Siraj while he was fielding. During the post-match press conference, Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant told media agency PTI that Virat Kohli was upset because of this action of the England fans.

He said, “I think, somebody from the crowd threw a ball at Siraj, so Kohli was upset.” 

This England vs India series was all about controversies. During the India vs England series 1st Test match many Indian players including, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and skipper Virat Kohli, were engaged in controversies, which include – when KL Rahul was stationed at the boundary, some of the England fans were seen throwing beer and champagne corks at him. On the other side, after the conclusion of the 92nd over, Bumrah and England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler got into a furious argument.
