In Jalandhar, Punjab, the city was half blacked out because of persistent attacks from Pakistan. Meanwhile, the robbers exploited the blackout and committed the incident. The recent case has surfaced from the medical store at Kishanpura-Satokhpura Road. Three robbers fled from Neeraj Medicos' shop after stealing cash and jewelry from the shop owner at gunpoint. This whole incident was recorded on the CCTV camera.
VO - The robbers had arrived in a car, as per the information received. At that time, two out of the three robbers had gone into the shop and had committed the offense. The incident had been recorded on the CCTV camera fixed there. The victim reported the matter to the police. Upon receiving the information, Police Station 8 arrived at the spot and began investigating the case. Shopkeeper Lalit Narayan informed us that he was going to close the shop and go. At that time, 2 of the 3 robbers in the car entered the shop. Subsequently, the robbers pointed their revolver at him and stole cash and gold jewelry from his wallet. Having committed the crime, the robbers escaped in a car.
Meanwhile, the case is being probed by North Circle's Police Station 8 in-charge Kamaljeet Singh and ACP North Atish Bhatia. ACP states that he has begun probing the case after taking the shopkeeper's statement. The accused have been caught on camera through CCTV and will be arrested shortly.
