Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has remarked that if a biopic about his cricket career is filmed, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan should play the lead role.
It's worth noting that Akhtar is a huge Salman fan who has constantly lauded the Bollywood actor. Shoaib met Salman in Dubai in 2016 and tweeted a picture with the caption, "I really enjoyed my time with Salman Khan in Dubai. Great work is being done by his Being Human foundation.”"If ever my biopic is made, I want Salman Khan to play the lead in it," Akhtar was quoted as saying by Pakistan journalist Saj Sadiq on his Twitter handle.
The Rawalpindi Express has now expressed a wish for Salman, 54, to play him in his biopic.
Biopics of cricketers have traditionally done well at the box office, and a biopic of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was a box office hit a few years ago.
