Virat Kohli-led team India has lost the second match in this world cup T20 tournament, this time India lost the game by New Zealand by eight wickets. Daryl Mitchell (49 off 35 balls) and Kane Williamson (33 not out off 31 balls) led New Zealand to an emphatic eight-wicket win over India in an important Group 2 match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Stadium.

Brief scores from the match are – India 110/7 in 20 overs (Ravindra Jadeja 26 not out, Hardik Pandya 23, Trent Boult 3/20, Ish Sodhi 2/17) and New Zealand 111/2 in 14.3 overs (Daryl Mitchell 49, Kane Williamson 33 not out, Jasprit Bumrah 2/19) and Kiwis won by eight wickets.

With this another big defeat, the chances of Team India qualifying for the semifinals are very slim. This horrifying tournament started with a loss to arch-rivals Pakistan by 10 wickets. India is placed in Group B, which consists – Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Namibia and Scotland. Pakistan is at the top, after winning three matches and hence is qualified for the semi-finals.
